This unique wooden chess set includes a variety of thoughtfully sourced products. The set includes the perfectly matched Olive Burl chessboard that was crafted in our workshop in Greece by skillful artisans using the Art of Marquetry. The chessmen are weighted and feature a 7.6cm King’s height.
Carefully selected wood veneers, traditional designs and special craftsmanship using the art of Marquetry give life to our Wooden Chess collection.

AMERICAN WALNUT
ELEGANT SET
Walnut is a beautiful tree that symbolizes confidence and mental wisdom. The heartwood of the tree can range from a lighter pale brown to a dark chocolate brown with darker brown streaks. The handcrafted Walnut Backgammon is available in 3 sizes. The playing field is a combination of walnut with oak & black color points. .
The walnut veneer is very unique and each backgammon is never the same with another one.This backgammon is handmade using the art of marquetry (also spelled as marqueterie) which is the art and craft of applying pieces of veneer to a structure to form decorative patterns and designs.
Our skillful workers use this method in order to create the inside design of the backgammon.
